What a random week it has been, which actually is a good thing because it means we have been able to have the time for randomness, and our lives aren't jammed packed with other stuff (well, they kind of are, but we are still having times for Random moments in life).
To start off, Adelyn has become obsessed with hats. Anytime she sees a hat, she wants to wear it. And if we even think about leaving the house without her hat on her head (even if it's 30 degrees out!) boy oh boy she lets us know. This week, she found dada's hat and wore it around the house for the night, and she also made sure that Sydney had her hat on almost all day on Friday (she put it on Sydney, and if it wasn't on just right, she kept putting in on over and over again)
Adelyn also learned how to take self-portraits of her self on my phone this week. Not only that, but she discovered Snap Chat, and sent at least 2 people snap chats of herself without my knowing!
And in trying to help Addi take some pictures, we got a crazy silly face portrait session in! so fun that she now makes faces, sticks out her tounge when I tell her to, and always wants to say, "CHEESSEEEE"!!
Another Random Thing....last Wednesday morning, I got a text from my bff Katie asking me if I wanted to go to the Lady Gaga concert that night, as her husband could get us tickets through his work! I put out some emails and got some people to teach for me on Wednesday night, and before I knew it, we were headed to see Gaga that night! We felt like we were embracing our youth and/or pre-mama days having a night out on the town! Can you believe we were out until 11pm on a weeknight!!?? Party Animals!
The concert was pretty incredible! Yes, Lady Gaga is crazy, but boy oh boy does that lady have talent!! I was awe-struck the entire show!! It was literally like a broadway show on steroids - incredible!! There was a story line, incredible talent/entertainment and of course crazy things that kept us all entertained. Her entrance was definitely one I had never seen...I don't think it's appropriate to describe on this blog, but after her "grand entrance" relating to the title of her tour, "Born this Way", she paraded around on this horse (which I thought was real, but it wasn't) and used the massive castle on her set to do all sorts of cool things
And of course, it wouldn't be Lady Gaga without her crazy wardrobe! Where does she come up with these things? I wish I would have counted how many different outfits she wore that night.
Anyway, I couldn't remember the last concert that I had attended, so this was definitely a great one to attend and make me remember why concerts are so fun to go to!!
Also this week, we got one of a few "big" baby items that we will need come April! We ordered and got our double stroller! It seems HUGE!! It's exciting thought to start getting some of these things in place...makes it feel like this child #2 is actually happening!
And last, but not least, yesterday we braced ourselves for a predicted "Huge Snowstorm!". While we didn't quite get the 8-12" of predicted snow, we did get snow, sleet, rain, and hail (all in the same day!) and were able to enjoy the small amount of snow that we did get (3" maybe??) for a short time. If we weren't in a parking lot, we probably would have stayed out and played for much longer! It was gorgeous!
Our weekend was filled with a Saturday spent working (both Michael and I had to work ALL day. blah.), and then celebrating my Aunt Mary K's birthday with a fondu dinner and some games...and then Sunday was church stuff...running errands...and family dinner. So, crazy...yeah. I guess so. But overall a fun and great week!
