December 2012: Annual Seekel Xmas Party

New Year's Day brought one final Christmas party for the Carmacks! It was our annual Seekel Xmas party! What a blast! Adelyn couldn't get enough of her cousins that flew in from Maryland that she only gets to see a couple times a year! They had so much fun together!

And let's be honest...I couldn't get enough of my cousins either whom I see multiple times a year!!

I think it must be hereditary...because it seems that our parents couldn't get enough of each other either!!  (It's too bad none of us get along or have a good time together)

Every year, the Seekel Xmas Party brings about not only great family times, but also an intense annual tackle football game for the older kids and adults...

And lots of sledding for the younger generation, and for those of us who can't play football (or don't want to...or who want a break...)...yes, I got down on my behind and went sledding with these kiddo's (and I"m not gonna lie...I think I may have had more fun than the little kids!)

This was Adelyn's first real sledding experience. Last year, when Adelyn could barely sit up, we pulled her around a flat yard in a sled, but this was the first time she got to go fast down a hill in a real sled...

To say that she loved it would be an understatement! Everytime we would get down the hill, she would instantly say and sign "more! more!", and I got quite the workout pulling her up that hill every time too:) We all were out sledding for over an hour on this chilly Minnesota day!

When it started to get dark outside, we headed back inside to open some gifts, eat some more food (seriously...so much food!) and enjoy this crazy family that we love!

And we couldn't leave without a picture of the "big" cousins...

And a picture of the "little" cousins...

Happy New Year...Merry Christmas...Thankful to be a part of such an amazing family! Love them all!

(P.S...I've just posted 4 blog posts!! So not only have I caught up on my blogging, but I think I'm good for a few weeks now! haha.)
