Fresh off the flight from Texas, I had 4 hours to pull off a party for 14 people to bring in the New Year. After dropping off Michael and Adelyn, I flew to my parent's house (which is where I hosted the party this year due to our current living situation"...and plus, they were out partying anyway) and set up some sweet fondu-set up for 14 people (ok...12 people plus 2 little tikes)
Thankfully, I had gotten the paper dinnerware (you can just call me classy) and brought a majority of the stuff to my parents before we left for Texas (fondu pots, cups, table cloths, etc.). Somehow I managed to get 14 seats around 2 tables. I then booked it to Cub for the rest of the needed supplies, flew back to the party site and worked my little tooshy off to get food prepped, made, and ready to go.
Friends started showing up shortly after 5pm and after putting the children down for bed, we got to enjoy my favorite dinner of the year!!!
Ok...so this one had a very messed up schedule from traveling all day and then falling asleep in the car for 2.5 hours, so she refused to go down at her normal bed time. Unfortunately, her picky-eating habits are still in place, and she wanted nothing to do with any part of the fondu meal...so Addi brought in the New Year by eating applesauce and goldfish crackers.
It was a great night celebrating a great year with amazing friends, and bringing on the New year, while thinking about all that it will bring with it:) Happy 2013!!!
