January 2013: Getting Ready for a Trip...

Ok...This post is lame. But I just wanted to let all my loyal blog followers (all 5 of you! ha) know that I'm getting ready for a trip, so I won't be blogging until I'm back from my trip.

You see...usually when I "get ready" for a trip, it means I start packing approximately 5 hours before my flight leaves. But this trip is different....

It's different because I started full time at my job on the 1st (have only been part time since October). I'll be gone 10 days, and for someone who runs programs at a church for 200+ children and adults, being gone for 2 Sundays requires a lot of advanced preparation and getting volunteers into place. I'm working a crap ton this week, so I feel I need to prepare other things while I can...

It's different because it's winter here in Minnesota, and neither my daughter nor myself have any clothes that would be appropriate for 80 degree weather (Adelyn doesn't because she was a lot smaller when she had to wear summer clothes...and I don't have any because I was also a lot smaller when I had to wear summer clothes. Dang Baby in the belly...making me "HAVE TO" buy new clothes (sense the disappointment)). So we've been shopping for clothes, and swimsuits, and sandals...and I tend to go nuts, so I'm pretty sure I've bought Adelyn 5 swimsuits. I've only bought myself 2 new swimsuits. My poor husband only got one new swimsuit. Adelyn's are by far the cutest (here's 3 of them)...

And the planning for this trip is different because Hawaii is basically a different country! I mean, we are flying overseas...on a flight for a REALLY long time...with a 1.5 year old. And that requires toys, and activities, and treats, and lots of stuff to keep a busy toddler happy.  I'm very excited about my new travel diaper bag that I got though. This thing is gonna rock the flight!! 

And lastly this trip is different because this is the FIRST time I can EVER remember laying things out and starting to pack before the night before we leave. But I had some time tonight, and I got excited, so I started. 

Because in 4 days, I'll be livin' it up in Hawaii!!! Boo-yah!!! (Addi's party hair because she's so excited)

So sorry to say I won't be posting for a couple of weeks, but when I do, you better believe it will be amazing because how can Hawaii not be?? Peace Out!!!
