September 2012: A Glimpse of the past life...

Ok, so this post is going to be super lame, mostly because Adelyn and Michael went to Texas last Thursday until Sunday, so this post is pretty much about me....sorry:( Boring, I know. But, for 4 whole days, I lived like I used to before a hubby and a kiddo. It. Was. Weird!! (but kinda nice...I'm not going to lie).

So, you may ask, what does one do with their life when they are "single" and "childless" for 4 days? Well, let me tell you....

I got my haircut (thanks to my amazing cousin Andrea for a perfect haircut!)...

I went shopping....alot.

I ate out for EVERY meal. That's right...every meal. Don't judge.

I had coffee with my cousins, and got to go see two of my cousins play in their volleyball matches...

And I cooked, baked, and prepared meals. LOTS of kitchen time (is it sad I find it fun to cook, bake, and prepare meals?? So, maybe it wasn't a weekend EXACTLY like it would have been when I was "single"). But it's fall, and so pumpkin recipes and apple stuff was calling my name.

I made Apple chips, Baked Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Donuts, homemade apple sauce, and 12 freezer meals that I put in our freezer to pop out for an easy dinner:)

Oh - and I rented movies every night, went out and caught up with a few friends over lunch and dinner, hung out in my parent's hot tub on more than one occasion, and stayed in bed an hour after I woke up one morning, just because I could. My time "off" FLEW, and was very productive!! But when it was all said and done, last night I couldn't get to the airport fast enough to welcome home my baby and my husband. Boy it felt good for them to be home!

Happy Monday!!
