Yesterday, I turned the big 31!! At least two people informed me that I am more than 1/3 the way done with my life (thanks guys!). And while this birthday wasn't nearly as exciting as turning 30 when I got to go to VEGAS with some of my best friends, it was still a great birthday!
Michael and I went out to celebrate my birthday on Saturday night...yep, that's right...just the two of us. We couldn't remember the last time we went out just the two of us...so it was a very fun night out! We hit up a new restaurant at the Mall of America called Stir Crazy...and it was AMAZING!!!! All you can eat mongolian stir fry where you pick your meat and veggies, and people make it for you right there in front of you. We stuffed our selves silly...to the point where I passed on ice cream after dinner (who does that??? I was stuffed!). After dinner and walking around the mall a bit, we also got to enjoy my parents hot tub before we picked up Addi. Yay for date night birthday celebrations!!
Then, yesterday, on my actual birthday, we went to church and then hung out and ate our leftovers for lunch at Michael's office, because he had meetings later that day. Adelyn and Michael also got some guitar time in, and it melted my heart:)
It's moments like these that make me stop and enjoy the small things in life. Who knows...maybe Adelyn will take after her daddy and be a guitar player:)
After a pretty chill rest of the day, we went out for our annual birthday dinner with my parents, Brady, and my grandma to celebrate both my birthday and my dad's! (whose birthday is 2 days before mine). Outback Steakhouse was the restaurant of choice this year (and if any of you know my dad, you will know that he was the one who got to pick the restaurant!). Adelyn sure did love the kiddie mac-a-roo-roo!
And we ended our night of celebration by going back to my parents' house to enjoy some cake and ice cream!
