August 2012: The Great Minnesota Get Together!!

It's that time of the year again...when we pretend that calories don't exist (or matter) and we take a day and indulge in everything that we try to hard to avoid the other 364 days of the year. Yep, that's right...it's MINNESOTA STATE FAIR time here in Minnesota and so we packed up our crew (aka my cousins Jen and Doug) and ventured out to our annual outing! This year did NOT disappoint!!

We started out strong with a few staples that are a must every year...such as the bacon corn ranch pizza!!

But there were Oh-so-many new foods to try at the fair this year!! And all of them (well...almost all of them) were incredible!! We had the Australian fries...

And the Red Velvet funnel Cake...

Michael was the only one who was brave enough to try the new "lamb fries" (which were really lamb testicles!! yuck!!)

Ahhh....yes, another successful fair year!! We walked around, ate our little hearts out, visited a few buildings, and of course people watched (the fair always seems to bring out some "interesting" people!!) So. Much. Fun. Until next year...
