Like I said, we headed up with some of our best friends and truly had an amazing weekend! Here are all the couples...Me and Michael...

For this camping trip, Michael and I decided to rent a camper, and it was our first time ever camping in a camper. Why, you may ask?? Well, I think our last camping experience explains it all...but, going so far up north in late August can bring unpredictable temperatures and weather conditions and we just wanted to test one out to see if we liked camping with it. We rented a camper from a little mom & pop shop in Northern Wisconsin, and even though we had a nearly-perfect weather weekend, I did REALLY enjoy camping in a camper with a high maintenance child one year old.
Yes, it was a great weekend. While spending the day in Grand Marais, we shopped, ate fudge, and even enjoyed these rock formations and Lake Superior from a pier.
Just enjoying the day and scenery!!
Suelynn, Maggie and I all wore green shirts one day...so we obviously had to document it! (because great minds think alike! Duh!). LOVE these ladies!
We also did quite a bit of hiking within the state park where we stayed....
Adelyn was a trooper!!
And of course, it wouldn't be a camping trip without bonfires and cooking meals over the fire! We had lots of great meals together, and enjoyed beautiful campfires on gorgeous nights. Michael even found some thing that makes the fire turn different colors...
Yes, we all had a great time. We also spent part of a day in Lutsen where Michael and I took a gondola ride with Adelyn to the other part of the "mountain" (can they even call it that?) while the rest of our group enjoyed a few alpine slide rides at Lutsen Resort. Yes, it was a great weekend of camping, and I sure am blessed to have this incredible group of friends!!
