July 2013: Birthdays Galore!!!

Well, my life has pretty much been insane the past two weeks! I've been living and Breathing VBS (Vacation Bible School), baby showers, and birthday parties!! I've just finished an incredible week of directing the Vacation Bible School at my church, and now I can breathe! (whew!). But of course, along with the craziness, I also have about a month's worth of blogging to catch up on! So this will be one of those weeks where I will hopefully post one post a day (or every other day) to get caught up on what's been happening in our lives.

Let's start with the birthday parties. That's right...partieSSS. July is crazy for birthdays in my family. Growing up, September was always the crazy month with my dad's birthday being Sept. 21, My birthday Sept 23, My cousin Sara's on Sept 24th, my sister's was on Sept 26th, and my uncle's birthday AND my best friend's birthday was on Sept 27th. Whew. Well, the next generation has made September Birthdays look like a breeze as we have moved the crazy birthday month to July. 

We started the month by celebrating Ryley's 1st birthday on July 13th (My cousin Kelsi's son). He had an adorable pirate theme and Olivya, Sydney, AND my grandma rocked it out. 

Ryley turned 1!!! Where did the year go?? 

I think Adelyn enjoyed being the "big cousin" and indulging in all of Ryley's toys! All of us cousins had a great time celebrating this cute little 1 year old!! 

The next weekend, we celebrated little Miss Sydney's 1st birthday as well!! We had a great time at her butterfly-themed party! I remember starting to babysit this girl when she couldn't even roll over yet!! Again...where has the time gone? Happy Birthday Sydney!! 

Once again, all the cousins had a great day of celebrating and playing with some of Sydney's new toys too! 

When it came time for Sydney to have some cake, she pulled an "Adelyn" and cried when her mom tried to give her some cake. Except Sydney was just not having it (whereas Adelyn SCREAMED!!).

And this cutie just got plain tired as her party went out. Yawns galore as she was opening presents. Too cute. 

What a great day celebrating this 1 year old cutie! The following weekend (yep...this is 3 in a row now)  we celebrated Adelyn's 2nd Birthday with a monkey-theme party down at Bayport park. Addi's birthday will get a post of its own, but here's a sneak peak at the craziness that went down at her party...

And the day after Adelyn's birthday party, we celebrated my amazing Grandma turning 88!! This woman does NOT look or act like she's 88! She even blew out all her candles at once! Way to go Gram! 

And there was one more birthday the following weekend (4 weekends in a row of birthday parties!! Uff-da!) that I wasn't able to attend due to a baby shower that I was co-throwing, but Michael was able to take the girls to help celebrate little Miss Madi's birthday!!! 

How blessed we feel to have so many amazing people to celebrate this month and always! Happy Birthday to all the July Birthday people!!!
