I know, I know...this is a WAY past due post! This week and last week has been crazy here in the Carmack household. We have been traveling up north for job interviews (more details to come...), we've been creamed with the stomach flu (6 days it wiped us out!), we've been celebrating family members who have graduated (shout-out to my cousins Hannah, Sarah and Brandon!), we've been watching our nephew Brady play baseball, - oh yeah and we've still got these crazy time-consuming things running around called kids:)
Sooo...a couple of weeks ago now was memorial day! Typically we go camping over Memorial Day weekend, but this year we have a 5 week old, and the family that we usually go camping with has twin girls who were graduating, so instead we decided to join my mom's side of the family at the annual Memorial Day picnic in Redwing on Sunday.
It. Was. Cold. and rainy...and some more cold. But my family are die-hards and we weren't about to let a little crazy Minnesota weather get in our way of a fun picnic. Well...at least the kids had a blast (I was too cold to really enjoy myself honestly...)
The next morning we got up bright and early and went to the best parade in town...(ok, so it's the only parade in town) where we saw lots of fire trucks, marching bands, and good old boy scout and girl scout troops supporting those who have fight and died for our freedom.
Adelyn was in her GLORY because she not only got a sucker thrown to her in the parade..but Leo's was also in the parade, and they were handing out ice cream cones!!! Yes, this parade was at 8:30am. Don't judge.
Happy Memorial Day to all!!!!
This past weekend, we also celebrated Norah's 2nd Birthday!!! She had turned 2 quite a few weeks ago, but her big party was this weekend and everyone had a blast eating cake, playing at the park, and running around with all the little kids!! Happy Birthday Norah!!!!!
We also took yet another trip to the zoo this week (seriously...we love this place!) and met up with Katie and Norah for a fun day of animals. Adelyn even got to feed a giraffe!! I think it was one of the coolest things I have ever seen/done at the zoo!!
And of course we did other zoo things...fed the goats (its a must), played on the playground, and we even visited the new dinosaur exhibit (not worth the extra money...just saying). It was a fun filled day that's for sure!!
And this past week, we headed up to Aitkin, MN for a night and on our way back, we were lucky enough to be able to spend the evening with these incredible ladies who graduated!!!!! Yay!!!!! Congratulations Hannah and Sarah!!
Right before we headed off to the graduation ceremony, our children had a bit of a meltdown. Thankfully, they actually did incredibly well during the graduation ceremony and made it through the entire thing.
I, on the other hand, did not. It was during the service that I got sick for the first time and thus began our bout of flu in the house (I even gave it to my cousin Holly that night....I'm sorry!!!!!! It was horrible!). But I am so blessed that I was able to watch these ladies (who I have watched grow up to be incredible young women) walk across that stage as they close one chapter of their life and begin the next.

Just caught up on your posts. Love reading them--thanks for the updates (no comment on my not posting on mine) ;)
Congrats on your graduation and can't wait to hear the job news!
Oh, and I didn't judge on giving Addi and ice cream cone in the morning (we just did that), although I found it funny that she was eating the cone and the sucker at the same time! :)
