Well, after a week of SHOCKINGLY COLD Minnesota weather, we decided to do as Minnesotans do and enjoy what we can. So, this weekend, we bundled up and headed out into this tundra to enjoy the ice castles display at Mall of America (which wasn't really an ice castle, but more of a mass amount of icicles that you could walk through). It was still pretty cool.
When we couldn't take the cold any longer (seriously...just like 20 minutes later), we headed into the mall to warm up a bit, and just couldn't resist taking Adelyn on a few of her favorite rides.
By the time we were done at MOA, it was dark out, and those crazy huge icicle things were all lit up! While Addi and I headed to the car to warm up just from the walk to the car from the mall, Michael went to check out the night view of the "ice castles" and got some pretty sweet shots...
Earlier in the day, we also had checked out the annual St. Paul winter carnival, where we saw people making snow sculptures, ice sculptures, and lots of activities going on around St. Paul. Again, it was freezing outside, so our stops were short and sweet:)
Trying to stay warm while getting out and seeing new things. That's what we seem to be about these days:) Oh - and longing for the warm weather to come back!! Well, if we are going to freeze, we might as well freeze together;)
Ah yes...a great weekend in Minnesota:)
