December 2012: The Holidazzle Tradition...

Every year, we go downtown Minneapolis for dinner and the Holidazzle parade with our friends Scott & Maggie, and Suelynn & Aaron. We originally had this planned for last weekend, but then the big snow storm hit. Getting 6 people's schedules coordinated is no easy task, so I was so excited when we all could make it work to reschedule our annual Holidazzle outing for just one weekend later! And thankfully the weather held out for us (even though it was a little rainy (yes, you read that right - rainy) and misty). After a great dinner out at Hell's Kitchen, we lined up to watch the parade..

Adelyn loved this waiting part...no traffic in the roads, so she was free to play in the street and entertain people also (hmm...perhaps we have a possible street entertainer in our future?!?  We'll work on that).

But once she discovered the curb...the middle of the street was no longer an issue. Up and down and up and down...for about 35 minutes straight.

Lots of fun and quality time with our friends! Adelyn LOVES these people!!

And let the parade begin!! After every float that went by, Adelyn said/signed "more. More."So cute. She loved the lights and the music and everything that came with this parade. After years of seeing the exact same parade downtown (come on Minneapolis...can't we even get just one new float??"), it was fun to see the awe that Adelyn was in when watching all the lights.

What a great night out! It's times like these traditions that helps the holiday season sink in and make it all feel festive and bright. We are so blessed to have these great friends in our lives.

What a fun night out:)
