Saturday afternoon (after I spent a great morning with my friends Maggie and Suelynn running, going out to lunch, and getting pedicures aka much needed girl time!), we decided to take advantage of the gorgeous 75 degree day that Minnesota was offering us and head to the Como Zoo.
Well, it seems that we weren't the only people with that idea. The Zoo was PACKED...like, get annoyed with people very quickly and easily because everyone is in your way packed. Ugh. But we were there, and so we decided to make the best of it. Adelyn probably couldn't care less if we were there or not, but she is starting to be more aware of things, and so when we stopped to look at the giraffes (one of my favorite animals I think), they did keep her attention for quite some time. She couldn't quite figure out what they were (the only animal that she is aware of is our dog Sami...who is approximately 9.8 lbs. Definitely not comparable to a giraffe)
The como zoo also has a pretty neat conservatory, and so when the animals and smelly fish buildings were enough for us, we headed over to look at all the pretty flowers
If nothing else, it was a fun day outside and spent as a family. Gotta enjoy these nice days when we can...because today (just 2 days later)...I'm looking outside my window and it is full. out. snowing.
I think I'll remember this nice, warm and sunny day that we got to enjoy this weekend instead
