December 2011: Simon Girl's Christmas Party

Before my Aunt Cheryl died, she began a family tradition that we call "Simon Girls' Christmas" that we still carry on every year. This truly is one of my favorite days of the entire year! Each year, all the girls on the "Simon Side" (my mom's side) get together and have a day of girl fun. Some years we go shopping, sometime we go to a play, last year we went out for lunch and to the Macy's display, and this year, after a great brunch, we all headed out to see Cirque De Soliel Dreams Holidaze performance!

Adelyn joined us for brunch, but then got to spend the rest of the day with Dad while we went to this show. Before we left, we took a picture of all of us, and I just crack up when I see this picture. As the picture was about to be taken, Addi decided to pull a chunk of Abbie's hair!! We are all smiling all nicely...and then there's Abbie!! hahahaha.

We all had a good laugh about that. Finally, we pried Abbie's hair from Addi's hand, and were able to get a nice group shot of all of us gals:

And of course, we had to snap a shot of the 4 genrations!

What a great day we had together! I am overwhelmingly blessed with incredible family all around me.

After our big day out, Michael and I headed to another Christmas party (tis the season!) that our friends Suelynn & Aaron put on every year. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures of that party, but we had a great time and got some "awesome" white elephant gifts too!!
