We headed out really early Wednesday morning, and it didn't take long for Adelyn to get the whole airport thing down...insisting on wheeling her own suitcase through the entire airport (good thing we weren't rushed because this girl takes her jolly ol' time).
Both girls were great on our two flights to College Station! This was also Olivya's first flight!!
The day we arrived, it was gorgeous outside! We took advantage of the 70 degree weather and headed off to the park after a long day of traveling. Good thing too, because the rest of our week in Texas wouldn't prove to be so great weather-wise.
We also got to celebrate Christmas with the Carmacks while we were in Texas...before the wedding festivities began.
And then the next day, the wedding festivities began!! Michael, Adelyn, and myself were all a part of the wedding (Michael was the best man, Adelyn was a flower girl, and I got to officiate!! It was my first wedding as an ordained pastor too, so it was extra special that I got to marry my brother-in-law and sister-in-law for my first wedding!).
But of course, there were many fun events that we got to be a part of leading up to the wedding. Such as Pedicures (Adelyn's first pedicure!! She LOVED it!!!)
And the rehearsal and Groom's Dinner at Messinah Hoff Winery...
And one more night out with Tasha (and some friends) as a single woman...
And of course the big wedding day festivities!! Tasha was gorgeous, the food was great, the ceremony was perfect (minus the part of Adelyn getting her flower girl crown stuck in her hair seconds before walking down the aisle, resulting in her screaming and crying as she ran full speed ahead down the aisle screaming, "I wanna go bye bye!!!!!!") and the night couldn't have been more fun as we celebrated Mr. & Mrs. Carmack...and a new member of our family (officially, that is).
Adelyn danced the night away. Literally. (her dancing skills consist of moving her arms and/or twirling around in a circle! I spent half the night dizzy because of her obsession with "dancing" in this way!!)
The next day, we got to celebrate Christmas with Michael's mom's side of the family, and we had a great day of being with great people and celebrating Christmas with them!
What a good looking' bunch of people! It's always great seeing people and being with family and friends while we are in Texas each year. We always wish that we could stay "just one more day"...
