If you're doing the math in your head right now, you will realize that Olivya is actually 7 months today. Yes, this is a big fat mom FAIL that I am just getting her 6 month pictures on the blog! Luckily, I'm a very forgiving person, and so I have no choice but to forgive myself:) However, I'm going to continue on in denial like I am writing this right when Olivya turned 6 months old (humor me and play along...)
It's been 1/2 of a year. That just baffles me!! On one hand it seems like this little girl has always been a part of our lives, and on the other hand I can't even think of where the time has gone since she was born!!
Olivya, you have mastered sitting up, and you are such a happy baby!! We can get you to smile with just about anything we do...you will play for hours sitting on the floor (taking toys out of a bucket is your favorite activity) and you absolutely love your bouncer/jumper right now too!! (your favorite hang-out spot).
You've started to break a tooth, but you wouldn't know it by your attitude. you just keep on smiling through it all (unless of course you are hungry or tired...then look out world!!)
You still like to eat a ton and on schedule. bottles and baby food are your foods of choice, and we haven't found any type of baby food that you don't like yet (well, maybe carrots, but the verdict is still out on that one).
You LOVE to watch your big sister run around...and you talk to Sami (your puppy) quite a bit too...
You're sleeping schedule is getting a little bit better (thank goodness!) You are rocking 3 naps a day, and go to bed around 9:30pm for the night and don't wake up until any time between 8-9:30am!!
My favorite part about you at this age is you are starting to recognize people you know...squeeling with delight when you see familiar faces, and realizing (and showing you don't approve) when we leave you with people you don't know very well...though you seem to adapt quickly. You love day care, and being out and about!! Going out to eat is no problem either...you love just sitting in the high chair and watching all the new things that are there...
You are rolling all over the place...you've found your toes...and you still don't like to be held much. You are always trying to get down, and you even prefer to be propped somewhere with your bottle rather than being held while you drink it! Oh - and you ALWAYS have your mouth open...haha!!
Your personality is becoming so fun!! I still can't believe how much you have grown in the past 6 months!
Happy 6 months Olivya Ann!!! We love you!!!
(just because I like to compare...you can see what Adelyn was up to when she was 6 months old)
