September 2012: The Stay at Home Life...

As many of you know, I have made the decision to "stay at home" with Adelyn this year, instead of working full time, as I have done the rest of her (and my!) life. Granted, I still have classes for Seminary that I will be taking, I will not be working for money during this next school year.

Michael and I both realize that I will probably never get this chance in my life to be a "Stay at home" mom again, and things worked out this year to be able to, so you better believe I'm taking advantage of being with my little girl while I can.

After the first week of my new role, I absolutely love it!!! However, with that being said, I'm also admitting that working full time out of the house was/is WAY easier than taking care of a 1 year old, maintaining the house, and still trying to keep afloat in every day life.

Yes, it's hard. VERY hard. But, again, I love it and there are definitely perks of the job...such as enjoying nice mornings out on the deck:

I have also made it a personal goal to help teach Adelyn things...in and through many different ways. I signed her (and me) up for an ECFE class in Woodbury and we had our first class today! Adelyn is in the "toddlers" class, where I stay with her for the first 1/2 of class time, and then we (the moms) separate for some time each week also. Boy, oh boy - was this the right decision!!! Tons of toys...tons of kids...singing and large muscle activities...Adelyn was in toddler HEAVEN!! Here's some of my favorite images from our first day...

And of course, we have to take advantage of these few nice days that we have left here in Minnesota (winter always seems to come WAY too soon here). So almost every day, we have been checking out local parks and getting dirty and playing hard!

And I made it through Week 1!! What an honor and a blessing to be spending this year with my baby girl:)
