April 2012: Mish-Mash

Lot's of Mish-Mash just "hangin' out" kind of stuff going on around our house lately...so thought I'd share...

1. Michael and I are currently doing a "30 Day Nutritional Re-balance" where we are trying really hard to only eat organic and whole foods (no preservatives...no artificial flavors...and...NO COFFEE). If you know anything about us, we are coffee FINATICS!!! So in order to try to substitute something for this love of ours, we headed to Whole Foods and bought some organic tea....which we ended up having to buy (even if we didn't want to) because Adelyn had chewed a whole through the box by the time we got to the check out. And she though it was hilarious. 

2. Adelyn is into EVERYTHING! Luckily, that includes laundry...so my hope is that sooner rather than later, we can put that curiosity to good use and she can help me actually do the laundry, rather than throw it all over the living room (yes, that is here standing up! She not only crawls everywhere, but she pulls herself up onto everything too).

This past weekend, my cousin and godchild Rachel stayed overnight! yay!! We endured an intense game of the card game 5 Crowns (one of our favorites!)

And the reason she got to stay over night is because her twin sisters had their Junior Prom this weekend, and the "after party" was being hosted at their house. These "little" cousins of mine are all grown up (tear) and absolutely beautiful young women inside and out. I babysat these girls A LOT when they were little and just love them to death. I am so proud of who they have become and their faith and outlook on life, and just can't believe that they are Juniors...nonetheless going to Prom! SO STUNNING!!!! And lastly, Adelyn is just downright funny these days. This next video that I took was an attempt to get her to mimic what I was doing (of course she was doing it just a minute before I took out my phone to video her), but I had to post this video any way because her laugh just cracks. me. up.
