Week 6: Back to Work...

Well, it's official. I went back to work this week full time (Starting September 6th..I realize I am posting this blog post late).

I started my internship at Peace Lutheran Church in Dresser, Wisconsin as the Intern Pastor. It is a bittersweet week, as I am excited for this new position and challenge, but of course it is hard to go back to work after being home for the past 8 weeks and being paid for it! (Can't it always be like that??). After a crazy busy morning of getting everything ready to go, Addi was eagerly awaiting to start spending days with Gramma Seekel, and frankly, this whole transition thing was seemless for her! Thank God we have an easy-going child:)

Her first week at Gramma Day-care was great!!! Gramma has them going on walks, coffee dates, shopping....frankly, my daughter has more of a social life than I do!! But I would expect nothing less from Gramma. Gotta teach them young:)

And of course, this was the week of the Great Minnesota Get Together...aka the Minnesota State Fair. It's one of my favorite events of the year, and we have been going with Jen and Doug for the past 5 years or so. We take the day to indulge in extremely unhealthy food and have promised each other that it is the one day a year that we will not feel guilty for doing so! Every year we have our certain "staples" that we MUST get, and then of course there are some new foods that we like to try...

Cheese curds are a MUST!!!

Yum! Cotton Candy...

And some new foods...deep fried cookie dough on a stick...and roasted corn and bacon pizza

Corn on the cob...a MUST!!!

TRULY a great way to end our Summer. While we didn't bring Adelyn to the fair on this day, we did bring her a few days earlier to experience her first MN state fair experience. Sadly, she slept in her stroller the entire 3 hours we were there, so we did not get any pictures to document the experience:(
