And thus begins the journey towards our first child. On Saturday, July 30th, 2011, I went into Labor at 9am. 10 hours later, I was STILL in labor....did you get that?? 10 hours!!!
After realizing that this baby was not progressing, and that I had only dialated 2 cm in 10 hours, the doctors made the decision to deliver our child by c-section...And I finally got to meet Adelyn Elizabeth Carmack at 10:20pm on July 30th! She was beautiful!!!
After recovering from surgery, we had many incredible visitors over the next few days!!! 4 generations here in one room...that's pretty incredible;)

And 4 days later, we were ready to take Addi home!! We put a cute outfit on her, put her in her car seat (which she was NOT a fan of), and put her in the car (which she LOVED!!).
The car ride home was filled with Michael and I talking about the disbelief we had that we were actually parents and how we were in charge of another life now. We were in awe, and were glowing in the miracle that was in our back seat:)
The rest of week one went by quick!! of course though lots of super cute pictures were taken (ok...so maybe I"m a bit biased:)
