Planning the Wedding

So after we got engaged last May, we immediately started looking for reception sites. We researched online, looked through magazines, and then spent a day walking around downtown St. Paul looking at sites. We looked at a few that were "ok" but not great. then we found it. We walked into the ballroom  in the downtown St. Paul Crowne Plaza and fell in love immediately. We booked it then and there.

Since that initial day, we have planned the following: wedding party (28 in all!!), grooms dinner site, church where ceremony will take place, wedding dress shopping, and colors (black and light pink)

Unfortunately, summer craziness picked up and fall came upon us way too quickly so wedding plans slowed down. However, we are starting to get back on the planning wagon, as we booked our DJ yesterday and are getting engagement pictures on Friday. Friends of mine who are also planning weddings right now (Katie) talks about how much work and how much she hates planning a wedding. I'm not gonna lie...I love it!! I've thought a few times throughout this process that maybe I missed my calling and should have been a wedding planner!!
